1. Safety Briefing & Guide Authority
Every expedition participant is mandated to attend the pre-launch swift-water safety briefing and wear ISO 12402-5 certified 50N+ personal flotation devices (PFD) and CE-certified helmets throughout all river, canyoning, and abseiling activities.
The assigned International Rafting Federation (IRF) River Captain and Lead Guide hold absolute authority to modify, postpone, or cancel any river run if water discharge levels or sudden hydrological surges exceed safety thresholds.
2. Cancellation, Weather & Refund Policy
Cancellations requested 24 hours prior to the booked departure slot, or expeditions cancelled by CAS due to river flood warnings.
Complimentary date/time slot rescheduling is permitted up to 6 hours prior to wave dispatch, subject to seat availability.
3. Participant Physical Fitness & Age Disclosures
Standard Class II/III rafting requires participants to be aged 10 years or older. High-water Class IV runs and 105ft waterfall abseiling require a minimum age of 14 years.
Participants with severe cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, or recent surgical operations must consult our medical liaison prior to booking.
4. B2B Travel Agency & Voucher Settlement
Registered travel agencies and DMCs issuing group vouchers through the CAS B2B portal agree to contracted wholesale settlement terms. Vouchers must be presented by the tour leader upon group arrival at the Kitulgala Base Camp concierge desk.
